HOW DO DEAL WITH HUNGER?

Image
HOW DO DEAL WITH HUNGER? Isn't it the most common issue we all face while following a fitness regime? The biggest misconception about people trying to get fitter is the mental blockage of starving to lose weight. They go on a fad, fancy, extremely low-calorie, non-sustainable diet, and trust me that's the worst you can do with your body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STARVE TO LOSE WEIGHT. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While starting your fat loss journey it's quite normal to experience some hunger. Most of the time it's psychological or sometimes its body is resistant to adapt to the change in routine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are my 5 best tips on how to deal with hunger:⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Drink more water .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Include a protein source and lots of veggies with each meal ⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eat at about the same times every single day. Eat slow and chew your food well.⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Focus on whole grain products to increase your fiber intake.⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make healthier choices every ti...

DETERMINANTS OF MENOPAUSE AGE

Image
DETERMINANTS OF MENOPAUSE AGE: Age of menopause is not only the determinant of loss of fertility but also an invitation to midlife diseases and problems. In India, the menopausal age is lesser than in the western world. A systematic study revealed that Indian women reached Menopause way earlier (46.2) than the western world (51). A recent study also shows that 4% of Indian women are experiencing early menopause at 29 to 34 years of age. It starts with irregular periods which later cease. One of the major causes of this is premature ovarian failure (POF). POF is a condition where ovaries stop functioning before 40 years of age. With the current modern lifestyle, eating habits, stress, smoking and drinking habits, thyroid, and autoimmune disease, and poor nutrition could be some reasons for premature menopause. If you observe symptoms like mood swings, change in period pattern, hot flashes, and sleeplessness do visit your gynecologist and you can get your blood tested for FSH ( Follicle-...

They Judge You No Matter What You Do

Image
THEY JUDGE YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. Have you been through this experience? I believe as women we are judged in everything we do. Are we good daughters? Wife? Mother? We are judged on our physical appearance and many many more. We are shamed for gaining weight, changing the weight, or mocked for never-ending weight loss and gain efforts. Be it our relationship status, mental health, or the number of kids we have or don't have. We are told this is wrong and that is wrong. Sometimes I wonder is there anything I do that is ever right and guess what in this process it's mostly we women ourselves, tearing each other down. The unfortunate truth isn't it. The victim is the culprit to carry on the trend. So just, Stop looking at yourself through other's spectacles. Stop reaching out for approval from the outside world. Stop pleasing the outside world by shrinking your self-beliefs and image. You are an incredible person with so much love and shine for others, remember to shi...

People Scared Of Failing

Image
I see a lot of people scared of failing Will I lose weight? Is it going to be difficult? what if I don't lose? And so on... But I really think what you should be more scared about is not trying at all. Not trying means you are neither giving yourself a chance to succeed or fail. Think of every time you have failed. The lesson learned from it. Thomas Edison, tried 10000 different materials before he found the right one for the electric bulb filament. But the great inventor said, " I have not failed. I've just found 10000 ways that won't work". Failure gives wisdom and also knowledge of what not to do again. Do try, explore give yourself that one last chance, you never know this could be your 10000th effort to get you closer to your goals. Giving up does nothing. Just get up make the decision needed, and walk through the path with consistent effort. Nothing, trust me nothing can stop you from losing that weight. If you are someone who is still waiting sitting on...

OIL PULLING & IT'S BENEFITS:

Image
OIL PULLING & IT'S BENEFITS: Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic technique used to maintain oral health. It's the practice of swishing oils around your mouth to decrease plaque and whitening teeth. Process: Take a tsp of coconut oil or any natural oil and pull and push the oil in-between your teeth. By swishing oil 10-15 min in a day, you start your morning by moisturising your gums, increasing saliva production which reduces bacteria production from the night before. Then you spit it out. Long term use of it can reduce inflammation, increase dental hygiene and give whiter teeth. Oil pulling with sesame oil led to a slight decrease in plaque formation by preventing bacterial adhesion to the teeth and gums. Coconut oil contains lauric acid that is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. Using this oil has shown a slight decrease in plaque formation and gingivitis. Even though there are some promising studies, oil pulling is in no way a substitute for regular oral hygiene. To Connec...

HOT WATER VERSUS COLD WATER SHOWER

Image
HOT WATER VERSUS COLD WATER SHOWER Taking a bath makes us feel healthy, rejuvenated, and fresh. It is a therapy for relaxing your muscles, opening clogged pores, and helping restore moisture. Ayurveda encourages hot water for the body and cold water shower for the head as the temperature can damage your sensitive eyes and hair. For me, cold and hot showers have their advantages, and overall, the best bet is likely somewhere in between. What's your favorite cold or hot shower? To Connect With Me Click Here
