Stages of Menopause
The Stages of Menopause:
Pre-menopause: The female body has not begun menopause.
Perimenopause:
The female body slowly begins to reduce its estrogen production.
It usually occurs in one year or gradually over several years. Menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes, start showing up in this period.
The woman has periods and is still capable of becoming pregnant.
Menopause:
The female body stops producing estrogen, and the woman has gone without a menstrual cycle for 12 consecutive months.
Post-menopause:
The years following menopause are when women feel more settled with an increase in energy levels.
